Abstract: Emergency drawdown of Fontenelle Reservoir in 1986 resulted in inundation of traditional kokanee (Oncorhynchus nerka) spawning areas in the Fontenelle Dam tailwater. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation constructed three spawning channels as mitigation for this habitat loss. I assessed the value of this mitigation effort to spawning kokanee in fall 1990 and 1991.
