Abstract: Objectives Determine the influence of human development and wolves on coyote habitat use in Grand Teton National Park, and compare with coyote habitat use in private land in Jackson Hole. Findings and Status We have collected over 400 radio telemetry locations on 28 collared coyotes since 8/15/99 when Matt McGee took over the data collection for this study. Eight new coyotes were collared during the fall of 1999, 1 in the park and 7 on private land. There have been 3 mortalities of collared coyotes since August, 2 on private land and 1 in Grand Teton National park. Data collection using track transects and radio telemetry will continue through 8/15/2000.
