Quite often people will rboorw a gun for a trip, a gun that they are not familiar with. Do not do that. A friend of mine rboorwed a gun and ended up dead when he went after a wounded Cape Buffalo. Take a gun you already own or that you have used a lot prior to the trip.I would take my 375 H+H Mag. That is more than enough for any Alaskan game. I would use sabot rounds for smaller game such as the wolves. If I did not have that, a 30-06 with some solid core bullets would be good. But I would not go much smaller than that.
