Abstract: Objectives To determine the fauna of butterflies and moths found in Grand Teton National Park, their specific identity, their seasonality, and their habitats. To describe species that may be new to science. To report on conservation and management needs of the species found within the park. To make oral reports on the parks fauna, and to publish lists of the park''s Lepidoptera fauna on the world-wide web. Findings and Status Sampling of the park''s fauna has been carried out in 1998, 1999, and 2000 and specimens are still in the process of being mounted, labelled, and identified. Specimens from the park in other museum collections have been discovered and have been recorded. To date no species new to science have been identified, but two new moths previously not reported for Wyoming have been located, Pararctia yarrowi, a tiger moth, and Proserpinus flavofasciatus, a sphinx moth. Several talks on the fauna of western nastional parks including Grand Teton were made during 2000. Listings of the parks butterflies and moths will go up on a World-wide web site featuring the Lepidoptera fauna of many national parks during 2001.
