Abstract: Objectives To determine territory occupancy and nest success of the following: boreal owls, northern saw-whet owls, long-eared owls, northern pygmy-owls, western screech owls, flammulated owls and barred owls. Findings and Status No boreal owls were detected. Northern saw-whet owls were detected at three locations. Great horned owls were found at two locations. A pair of barred owls was observed in February and March of 1997, but the female was not detected during April and the male was not detected after April 15. Because of the sensitive nature of owl territories/nests, locations of owls during the breeding season are not reported here, but have been sent separately to Steve Cain.
