Abstract: This report analyzes the importance of wildlife on existing private lands in Jackson Hole. It includes information on (1) some consequences of present development; (2) biotic communities on private lands; and (3) the importance of private lands as essential habitat for selected wildlife species. The analysis is based on a review of significant biological literature and discussions with local biologists, wildlife experts, and state and federal management agency personnel.
