Abstract: Objectives Determine how accurate the tooth wear aging technique described by Quimby and Gaab (1957) is when applied to the Jackson Hole elk herd. Findings and Status Aging jaws of young animals by tooth eruption is very accurate. However, discrepencies increase the older the animal becomes.
