Abstract: The first Whooping Crane Recovery Plan was published in January 1980. This attached revised plan was completed in December 1986. The updated narrative of Part I and the literature cited provide useful source material for anyone desiring to know more about the species. Parts II and III provide guidelines to groups and agencies assisting in recovery actions. The appendices provide additional source material, such as migration sightings useful for individuals developing environmental impact studies and biological opinions required under the Endangered Species Act.
