Abstract: Development pressure on private land in Teton County has increased substantially during the past 5 to 10 years. This development has increased the need to identify important wildlife habitats on private lands and provide a framework for minimizing impacts to them. This study was authorized by Teton County in response to those needs. The overall purpose of the study was to provide information that would help maintain crtiical wildlife habitat and hence wildlife populations within the county. This study focused on private lands since several state and federal agencies were already involved with similar programs on government controlled lands.
