Abstract: This study was divided into two parts: a) the methods and results of a percentage utilization determination and an order-of-preference study, and range comparisons; and b) notes on winter behavior, herd movements, population densities, and decimating factors on the herd. The Snake River study area occupies the extreme western portion of the Jackson Hole Wildlife Park. The Buffalo River observation area begins near the junction of the Snake and Buffalo Rivers. It encompasses 3,500 acres, half of which lie inside the boundaries of Grand Teton National Park.
